As an educator today is very exciting. It shall be 2011. We rolled into a new year and there are so many educational opportunities on the horizon. technological advances of today are changing the world inventions of paper or the printing press monumental. Information is dosed at ever higher speeds.

But the speed and the methods we use to absorb information not changed, but our access to and the way we handle it has changed.

As humans, we use to process information the same way that we always – through our five senses. For education, we usually leave to our eyes, ears and touch. If you have a smartphone or mobile device (especially an IPAD), you hold an incredible educational tool in your hands. Why, you ask? Because it is interactive and multi-sensory.

How is an iPad, in contrast to a computer that is another question that may ask? Here are my top 5 reasons why a iPad superior to an ordinary computer manuals, and even when it comes to learning.

1. No mouse! As fast as we all pick up the concept of a cursor on the screen, it’s still an extra step for informing the brain travel to the device and vice versa. If a child’s fingers to manipulate information or move to a letter or form is used, there is no extra step to bring the mouse into the street.

2. No wires! You can have an iPhone or iPad everywhere with you. In fact, the whole point – technology on the road. You can learn from anywhere – not just a school desk or a kitchen table.

3. No books! Well, I love books and thousands of them, but you can learn everything from Spanish, math to grammar handwriting that all from a single device, without an arm drag or a backpack full of books.

4. Shorter waiting times! Installation of an application is much faster than installing software on a computer.

5. Less cost! Frankly, I think apps are too cheap, but why not use it, while the trend here. Take language, for example … You buy a book for 50 dollars or more, or computer software to more than $ 200 or more, give your child a new language. Or can an app for $ 4.99 to buy. This is just great technology at ridiculously low prices.
